Experienced Nursery Cook - Part-time

We are currently seeking an experienced cook to join our team in a part-time role. Requirements:

• Experience in cooking nutritious meals from scratch
• Passion for preparing fresh, healthy, and vegetarian meals
• Ability to work as part of a job-share team
• Up-to-date knowledge of environmental health guidelines
• Awareness of allergies and allergens
• Level 2 hygiene qualification
• Enhanced DBS check (to be completed prior to starting)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh and nutritious meals following our established vegetarian menu
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of the kitchen and equipment
• Restock kitchen supplies as needed during shifts
• Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards
• Collaborate with the nursery manager on menu planning
• Monitor and record food temperatures
• Prepare reports related to kitchen activities

Additional Duties:

• Menu planning in coordination with the nursery team
• Recording and monitoring food temperatures
• Assisting in the preparation of reports

Job Type: Part-time     2pm to 6.15pm x 5 days per week

Salary: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
