Round and Round the Gardens Childcare is looking to recruit a new staff member to join our team.

We are based on the Pyrford Road in West Byfleet, with an easy 10/15 minute walk from West Byfleet train station or ample parking for those who drive. Our nursery has 5 gardens areas, 3 classrooms catering for children from 1 year up to 5 years, 51 weeks per year, 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed for the week of Christmas and also Bank holidays with our staff having 28 days holiday per year.

Our team is a small and friend team and we are an independent nursery, recently achieving a Good Ofsted inspection in March 2024.


Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team at a nursery in providing high-quality care and education to young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to lead and manage a classroom effectively.

Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery room, including supervising children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and well-being
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting as an Early Years Educator or similar role
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a classroom of young children
- Ability to drive educational outcomes through creative teaching methods
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
